Arun Handa Selected To Speak At CTIA Wireless 2008®
MELBOURNE, FL - (March 14, 2008) – IntelliNet Technologies today announced that IntelliNet’s Chief Technical Officer, Arun Handa, has been selected to speak at CTIA WIRELESS 2008® taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, April 1-3.
Mr. Handa will participate in the educational session entitled “Questioning IMS: Where are We? What have We Learned? Where are We Going? And When Will We Get There?” within the Mobile Blueprint track. Mr. Handa will be joined by other leaders from the wireless industry, including moderator Rakesh Kumar, Principal, Technology, Media & Telecommunications for Deloitte Consulting LLP as well as senior executives from Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia-Siemens Networks, Starent Networks, Sun Microsystems and Syniverse Technologies, who will discuss whether IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) continues to be the best opportunity for operators to take the complexity out of converging their existing networks as they move to a common network platform. This session provides a check-in moment for IMS: What is working and what is not? How overall uptake is going as per original promises and what does the future look like for IMS?
CTIA’s Educational Sessions are the most comprehensive in the wireless industry. The in-depth sessions address the most important issues facing the broad wireless ecosystem, including IT professionals, software developers, media companies, technology enablers and, of course, wireless carriers and wireless equipment and services providers as they work together to develop and implement wireless products and services.
“This year’s educational sessions reflect key changes and trends in the burgeoning mobile technology and services space,” said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director of CTIA WIRELESS. “From consumer usage to professional applications and the important cross-section of ‘pro-sumers’, whoever your customer might be, there is a session dedicated to servicing them and understanding their mobile needs.”
“Our educational program is structured to address the important issues facing businesses in the wireless industry today,” added Mark Desautels, vice president and show educational program director of CTIA WIRELESS. “From building the networks and applications of the future, to transforming the wireless device into a productivity tool, to effectively marketing and educating the world on the capabilities of the mobile device – our team has developed a program that is focused on the informational needs of all of the industry’s participants after having evaluated more than a thousand submissions from experts on these topics. And we are most pleased that IntelliNet Technologies and Mr. Handa have accepted our invitation to participate in our program.”
“We are honored to have Arun represent IntelliNet on this high-profile panel,” said Anjan Ghosal, president and CEO of IntelliNet Technologies. “IntelliNet has been a significant contributor to worldwide IMS convergence efforts, working with some of the industry’s leading network equipment providers. As our CTO, Arun has developed our technology roadmap and has been the driving force behind our convergence solutions.”
